Laziness is like a seed. You allow it to settle and grow, and soon it will overtake you like a weed. It’s best to not allow and amount of laziness to settle. Rest is good. Laziness never is good.
What am I building and how does it help others? Building something as a vanity project adds little value. Building something that helps others adds infinite value.
Some are good at talking. And words matter a lot. Words can inspire or they can destroy. But it's those who actually DO who make changes in the world. Words and communication are absolutely necessary, but the ones who change the world are the ones who actually DO.
If trust is foundational currency, how much do you have banked? Trust can’t be stolen or forged. It’s carefully made over time and actions. Loss of trust can happen almost instantaneously. Measuring our every action and measuring again can prevent the loss of trust.
Where I swam today felt cold. I started getting in the water slowly but it was too cold. Instead, I swung off the dock and splashed in. It was cold much longer after that. Lesson learned :)
Every day has something in it for us. Whether good or bad happens, the day has something to take in. Every day, taking in what we can makes us better people. Learn from the good. Show up in the bad. Keep moving forward and glean everything possible from each day.
The happiest people have found happiness in the small things. If happiness is dependent on grand things, being happy is a difficult target. If it’s dependent on the little things, it will be easy to find.
Delayed decisions can be as bad as no decisions. Sometimes it’s better to make a decision and adjust if needed. Be decisive, but be flexible. Me decisive but be adaptable.
Everyone learns in different ways. If you can really figure out how you learn, you'll save yourself a lot of times. Some learn via audio, some via text. Some learn best with video. Some needs hands on. If you can learn how you learn best, you'll be a more efficient learner,
The best way is through it. Not around it. We don’t need to look for troubles or difficulties, but the best way to deal with them is to meet them head on. Avoidance only makes them more difficult. Face them and deal with them quickly. That’s the best way, through it.
Being efficient should be a continuous goal. There's almost always room to be more efficient. In giving and loving people, be liberal. But in your other outputs, trying to find efficiencies. It will leave you with more to give to others.
If your McDonald’s, quantity matters. But if you want something better, quality is what matters. Focusing on quality over quantity is the way to go. Quality brings value. Quality brings cheapness.
Is in the power of the tongue. We can speak life. Our words are ever so important. Our actions are most important but sometimes it’s our words that make a difference in a situation.
