Decisions

Delayed decisions can be as bad as no decisions.  Sometimes it’s better to make a decision and adjust if needed.  Be decisive, but be flexible. Me decisive but be adaptable.

More No’s

What you say no to makes a huge difference in your yeses.  Saying no refines what is necessary and filters out the unnecessary. Saying no preserves your resources for your yes.  Don’t waste your yeses on frivolous activities that don’t support your big goals. Refine. Say no. Put that energy into the yeses that matter so much the more.

Spending

It matters where you spend.  We can spend on things that give back or things that cost more than the price.  Spending on things that give back is the wise choice. But it’s often the less glamorous one.  Spending on things that cost more than the price are often the more attractive choice.  Keep the long term in mind and you’ll make the right choice!

My Decisions

My decisions do affect you. Have you ever been driving and someone throws on the brakes ahead of you and suddenly people all have to do the same behind? On the road, what other people do effects us quickly and deeply. Life is much the same. My words, actions and behaviours have a spill over effect. If everyone behaved in such a way of being mindful of this principle, we would have far fewer negative incidents.  My decisions effect you. Your decisions affect me. Let's make decisions based on if we're making things better or worse.

Right Choice

Making the right choice is the important thing. It may not be the easiest choice or the most expedient one. But the right choice leads to the best possible outcome. Even if the outcome isn’t what you hoped for, it’s still the best possible outcome because you made the right choice.

Change

Change begins when you decide. We wait too long for change. We wait until the perfect time to institute change. Well real change begins when we decide we want change to begin.

Doors

In life there will be many doors or opportunities present themselves. We have to learn wisdom to know which ones to go through. Not every opportunity is something we should take advantage of. Some opportunities are distractions. It's okay to say no.

You Choose

You have much power. You get to choose every response. Nobody can make you lash out. Nobody can make you  respond angrily. Nobody can make you yell. Nobody can make you lose your temper. Nobody can make you jealous. Nobody can make you say things you shouldn’t. You choose. It’s your choice what you want to say or do.

Finding Offence

If you want to find offences, you will. We can find offence in almost everything and there’s many people who do. It’s one of the worst ways to live. Constantly being offended is like self inflicted harm. Choosing to not find or live in an offended state is the right way to live. You will find peace that way and living in peace is priceless.

Enough is Enough

Sometimes you have to get really tired of something to rid yourself of it. We will accept toxicity for long periods of time. Learn to cut toxicity out of your life early.

Quitting

Nobody wants to be known as a quitter. And that’s a very valid thing to avoid being known as. But it’s also good to quit some things. Or more accurately, quit the unnecessary things. Quitting the unnecessary things allows you to be better at the more important things.

Resentment

What possible good can come from resentment? I can’t think of any possible good. Resentment is something to shun. It has no positive value, it will only drag you down.

Why Do The Right Thing

Doing the right thing always pays off. But doing the right thing is often more difficult. So many take shortcuts and do the wrong thing. So why do the right thing when it’s harder? You do the right thing because doing harder things makes you better. And doing the right thing is always the correct choice.

Too Many Yeses

Too many yeses means you will be forced to say no to many things. Yeses have to be chosen wisely. No is likely something we don't say enough of. We have to say no to protect our most important yeses.

Down The Road

Make a decision based on where you want to be down the road. Because you’ll be down that very road sooner than you realize. Life comes at you fast, don’t make decisions based on how you’re feeling that day, think about where you want to be.

Easy Choices

The easy choice isn't always the easy path. The easy path is quite often the wrong choice. We don't invite difficulties on us, but choosing the difficult leads to bigger and greater things. Doing difficult things is a more valuable path than easy street.

Living In It

We can choose if we’re going to live in something. We can feel, expedience and go through things. But we can decide if we’re going to live in it.

Decisions

We make thousands of decisions everyday. And these decisions are like a steering wheel that directs us certain ways. So every decision, big or small, has some bearing. The more wise decisions we make, the better our direction.

1000 No's

It takes 1000 no's to make a profound, meaningful yes.

Strength In The Council

Big decisions shouldn’t be knee jerk decisions. The bigger the decision the more time and consideration should be given. And the more council should be sought. Don’t buy a house without talking to people who know and doing your due diligence. Same thing applies for choosing a life mate. Any decision of that magnitude should be made slowly and with council.
