Giving

It feels so much better to give than receive. The joy of giving outweighs any loss of what’s given.

Sharing

Why be a gatekeeper? Share. Share what you have, share what you know, share your time. Being stingy makes us weaker, not stronger. We get better by giving.

Taking

Takers end up sinking.  You have to give to get. It’s a balance. Outflow so there can be inflow.  If all one does is take; they become weighed down.  Giving is one of the most freeing things we can do.

Give More

Give more than you take. Taking actually drains us. Giving recharges us.

Giver or Taker

It’s more fulfilling to give but many get stuck being a taker. It seems easier to take but it’s draining taking. You’re always waiting for other peoples generosity. Be a giver and you’ll see the benefits of giving instead of taking.

Be Generous

Be generous. With your love, your skills, your time. Generosity is how we make the world a better place.

Getting and Giving

You won’t ever get if you don’t give. Holding onto everything with a tight fisted grip isn’t how you get. The real way to get is to give.

Takers

Beware of giving to takers because they don't have any limits to their taking. Give to people in need, but beware those who are takers are unwilling to work. Their taking has no limits.

It Will Come Back

If you do good, it will come back. It may not come back through the channel you hoped or foresaw, but it will come back. It may not come back fast, but it will come back.

Fulfillment

An interesting thing about fulfillment is it comes usually through helping others rather than ourselves. Selfishness doesn't seem to lead to fulfilment. Generosity does though.

What Feels Better?

This will tell you a lot about yourself. Ask yourself and honestly answer, what feels better, to receive something or to give something? Work towards being a giver, not a receiver. The truest blessing is in giving not receiving.

Don't Close The Funnel

Times are changing. the economy is getting worse. It's bleak and scary for many. Everyone is (or should be) tightening up their budget. But I urge everyone, don't close your funnel! There are more needs than maybe ever before in our lifetimes. If you don't have financial means to give, that's fine. There are needs beyond finances. Pick up a phone, write a letter, sing a song, wave at a neighbour. If you can, send someone money or supplies. Tip the delivery person. This is a time to ramp generosity up, not down.
