Slow Down, Prioritize

Getting overwhelmed is increasing easy in the modern world. Digital everything has made things faster and more accessible, but also louder. It’s hard to sift through all the noise. We can easily get overloaded and overwhelmed.  Slow down. Prioritize.  Silence the noise. Use silencing and do not disturb features. Uninstall apps. Unfollow. Turn off notifications.  Prioritize once you’ve slowed down.

Noise

Noise comes in many forms. Sometimes it's too much information. Sometimes it's hype. Sometimes it's literal noise. Sometimes it's unsolicited feedback. Noise usually isn't a place to learn. Noise usually ins't a place to relax. Noise it something you have to learn to filter, to tune out and to get away from. Learning happens more in the quiet. Wisdom is found in the quiet. Clarity is found in the quiet.

Out of Words

There's no need to speak in silence. Learning to be comfortable with silence is an important thing. I'm a HUGE proponent of communication. But communication without silence is just noise. We need time to reflect, and that happens in silence. Even when you're with someone else, don't be afraid of the silence. When you're talking, you're probably not learning or reflecting. So... Being silent is at times just as much or more effective than speaking.
