Get as many wins as early as possible. Small wins count. Start with winning and you’ll set the path in a good direction. Yes, finishing strong is important too. But if you start with wins, you can finish strong even easier.
I think we quit too early too often. Sure there comes a time to cut our losses. But we give up too soon in general. Many things require perseverance. And that only comes by not giving up when we feel like it. It’s one thing to keep doing the same thing over and over again with the same results. But a wise person keeps doing the right things over and over again until they get a breakthrough.
You can’t win them all. Sometimes you have to lose in order to win. Sometimes losing teaches us what it takes to win. Losses can be lessons. Losses in fact should be lessons. So winning sometimes looks like losing.
Winners may not always be what we have a picture of in our minds. The person at the top of the podium holding a trophy or the team who wins the final game of their playoffs. A winner is often somebody who does the right thing. A winner is someone who shows up faithfully. A winner is someone who gives great love. A winner is someone who stands up for the weak. Be a winner in every sense of the word.
Here's a good tip on fighting back against anything... Don't use the same weapon your aggressor is using. If your aggressor is using violence. Don't respond in violence. If your aggressor is using hate. Don't respond in hate. If your aggressor is using intimidation. Don't respond with intimidation. The saying goes that you can't fight fire with fire. Want to overcome your aggressor, make sure your tactic is different from theirs.
