Motivation
The best motivation comes from within. Needing external motivation means that you are alway relying on unpredictable factors for your motivation. It's best to find motivation from within so that it's always there.
Doors
In life there will be many doors or opportunities present themselves. We have to learn wisdom to know which ones to go through. Not every opportunity is something we should take advantage of. Some opportunities are distractions. It's okay to say no.
