Consequences as Teachers

One of life's greatest teachers is consequences.

As leaders, when we shield or remove someone from consequences, we're robbing them of one of the greatest teachers they will ever have.

Consequences are usually painful, uncomfortable, and genreally non-desirable. But they're still one of the best teachers. 

Consequences don't always produce good learners, but they are more effective than most teachers.
