If you have to think too much about your idea, it no longer becomes creative. It becomes logical and paired down. That may be a good thing if you're selling your idea, but it may be bad also.

Capturing your idea in the initial creative stage is important, but it may need to be balanced with some iterative work. Finding the balance between the two is the key.
