Unspoken Expectations
If you think about it, we place so many expectations on others, mostly unspoken.
The more we expect from others, the more likely we are to set ourselves up for disappointments.
When we examine our expectations closer, we usually are expecting others be exactly like ourselves.
It takes maturity to get to a place where you no longer expect people to be like yourself, but to be comfortable with people being who they are.
If we simply stop expecting people to be like ourselves that alone will free them to exceed our expectations.
