A Good Rule

A good rule I have been reminded of recently is don't do anything for someone if they can do it themselves. I know I've posted this before, but teaching my son to walk has reminded me of it. I have to let him walk on his own and get back up again when he falls. If I always pick him up he won't learn.

So sometimes helping somebody isn't really helping them.

It's a totally different story if somebody needs help and can't do something themselves. Then it's our moral duty to help them.
