Overwhelmed

Being overwhelmed is one of the most difficult states to be in. It often causes people to make wrong decisions. To get from being overwhelmed to feeling on top of things is extremely challenging.

What has worked for me is itemizing the tasks in front of you, prioritizing them and then crossing them off as completed. The visual reference seems to help. You can see what is in front of you and see your progress as you work your way through them. The incentive to completing a task sometimes is to see it crossed off your list.

This similar approach can work for being overwhelmed with life. Itemize what tasks in life are overwhelming you. Then work through the list figuring out how to minimize each task or divest yourself of the task.
